Soon, I'll be posting some of what I call my "pinch scripts" for SQL Server 2005. These scripts are used to basically tell you in a "pinch" what exactly is happening at any time within the SQL Server internals. Troubleshooting SQL performance problems as they are happening is simply an essential for any experienced DBA.
